PROBLEM

Disruption of core business as hybrid agencies and startups offering low cost models enter the market.

SOLUTION

We designed and built a new digital-led real estate agency introducing new services and pricing.

BACKGROUND

As a leading real estate agency, LJ Hooker held a significant market share and a strong brand presence. But digital disruptors in the UK had grown significantly in and were poised to enter Australia.

During the project we conducted extensive research of buyers, sellers and agents and mapped the flow of interactions between each party. Prototypes were designed and rigorously tested as we worked towards crafting a cohesive experience. A considerable effort also went into creating a sustainable pricing model that was not only desirable to sellers but met the required business needs.

After validating the concept, we designed a multi-channel platform that assisted in the end-to-end process of selling a home, both digitally with a responsive app but also physically with facilitating open-homes and signage. This involved designing processes for everyone: agents, customer service, photographers, stylists, marketing and conveyancers, while providing tracking & visualisation of buyer interest to the seller and agents.
